X-Ray Systems
The Image Scan Group's AXIS-3D® and 3DX-Camera® technology provides operators with real-time, three dimensional X-ray images of the object as they are screened. This enables the operator to better assess the potential of a security threat, resulting in improved detection rates, lower false alarm rates and reduced ‘time to competency’ training periods.
Conventional X-ray security screening systems produce a shadowgraph, that is, a flat two dimensional projection of the inspected object which contains none of the depth cues that tell us about the three dimensional nature of the object.
The two dimensional image does not provide the screener with sufficient information regarding the three dimensional shape of the object, how it relates to other objects and where each object resides inside a container, for rapid and accurate security screening. Interpretation of the two dimensional image is often difficult.
