INSPEX showcases X-ray technology that transforms inspection process

23 July 2004

INSPEX 2004 (29-30 September, NEC) will provide the opportunity to see how 3DX-RAY Ltd’s cutting edge X-ray equipment helps managers meet tough quality requirements and customer expectations, while keeping down costs and production times.

3DX-RAY’s systems – the Vixion, DEX and 2DX/3DX – are specifically geared towards revealing the hidden contents of items even where these are very small, or cluttered, deep and with thick outer packaging.

The company has been at the forefront of the development of real-time 3D imaging, while also offering unsurpassed resolution and image quality in both 2D and 3D. Its technology enables the precise identification of materials, invaluable in overcoming some of the hitherto difficult areas of inspection such as bones in meat.

These capabilities, coupled with competitive costs and operation at normal production line speeds, are bringing X-ray imaging to new markets.

Whereas customers in the imaging market have typically found themselves obliged to purchase an all-in-one X-ray system, 3DX-RAY Ltd’s modular approach allows them to make their own choices about what computers and software to use. This flexibility extends to a range of resolutions (from 10 micron – 1.00mm) and tunnel sizes, enabling application of the technology to a wide range of items from electronic components, blister packaging and medical devices to large boxes, sacks and palettes.

To learn more about these systems’ broad-ranging applications, visit 3DX-RAY Ltd on stand 6190.
